Pile of GarbageA Poem by Sebastian RomeroA refrigerator's monologue. Set after the extinction of men, when everything is just a pile of garbage. You deduced your immortality when time didn’t break you God can you hear You are useless and still you refuse to die One could admire That Loving too much Are you there You, metallic linear industrial monument Of such substance enormous things are made of Should I speak louder You used to hug things with your gut and keep them cold but you can’t do that while covered in dirt God? Please? Times and times It feels like waves Everything passes You have stood Can I ask you something Most of it’s dead Nothing but nature moves anymore You’ve been still for most of your times now A favor please You’ve tried everything, but nothing has happened You just stand and look for the time to come but the time hasn’t come so you wait and lay and wish and wait and try and think and wait God when will you kill me © 2016 Sebastian RomeroReviews
