Rooster vs. Piddle-PantsA Story by SebastianPiddle-Pants vs. Rooster Piddle-Pants and Rooster are two eccentric and terrifying individuals who are both unpleasant yet entertaining to be around. Both have strange problems, share a beguilingly terrorizing interaction towards certain people, and have qualities of typical delusional stalkers.
Piddle-Pants is a sixteen-year-old, junior in high school, whose social skills are a bit lacking. When he introduces himself, he enlightens his new acquaintance in great detail about personal things that he is better off keeping to himself. He is known as “Piddle-Pants” because he constantly urinates uncontrollably and must wear diapers and sleep on rubber sheets. Rooster is twenty years old and currently in college. He was given his name by the manner in which he walks and the shape of his nose. Rooster has the belief that everybody is bisexual, which thereby gives him entitlement to touch and excessively flirt with anyone he wants, in assumption that the person will want the attention. Regrettably for him, in every case, he finds himself barking up the wrong tree.
Undoubtedly, the unique problems of the two are what compel anyone to be around them. Rooster would be boring without his Asperger's autism and Piddle-Pants reels in amazement with his bladder problems, obsessive compulsive disorder and fake Tourette's syndrome. Rooster's Asperser’s autism causes him to be unpredictable and shocking because he has a skewed perception of what is socially acceptable. The Tourette's syndrome that Piddle-Pants fakes is slightly irritating, but his undercover bladder problems hit the highest point of his friends' amusement. Not only are his friends amused, but they get paid to bring him a variety of diapers without his mother finding out the cold harsh truth. He calls repeatedly, including all hours of the night, due to the obsessive compulsive disorder, until he finally has the diapers in his possession. Rooster simply requires taking Adderall to aid his mental illness.
Piddle-Pants and Rooster are distinctly compared by this description of a delusional stalker’s typical profile: “unmarried and socially immature loner, who is unable to establish or sustain close relationships with others. They rarely date and have had few, if any, sexual relationships. Since at the same time they are both threatened by and yearn for closeness, they often pick stalking victims who are unattainable in some way…” However, what differs is the main effort involved in the two stalking methods. Rooster pushes forth all effort in attempt to woo his victim mercilessly whereas Piddle-Pants uses as little effort as needed to slowly trap his victim menacingly in a situation that seems inescapable.
The most unforgettable horror story of Rooster is when he was a junior in high school pursuing a shy freshman boy. He befriended the freshman by following him to and from his classes. After a joke that was made, Rooster made a drastic change for this freshman. The very next day he came to school with dyed blue hair, shaved legs, and to top it off, he broke up with his devastated girlfriend of six months right in front of the freshman to prove his love for him. Until Rooster left the school, his disturbed victim sneaked his way to each class.
Piddle-Pants stalks via cell phone and sometimes surprise visits. His calls are frequent and dreadful ranging from four in the afternoon to two in the morning to not only the person he is mainly interested in, but that person’s friends. He usually calls, namely without an initial reason, until there is an answer from the desired person. If there is no answer, he assumes the reason is rejection and grows angry, thus bearing a grudge for about a day and calling each friend of his victim to get to the bottom of what is his own insecurity. If all else fails, he walks to the victim’s house and sits on his or her door step awaiting the arrival. Moreover, unlike Rooster Piddle-Pants passively waits for his victim to come to him as he hits redial on his phone and sits in his victim’s front lawn.
Piddle-Pants and Rooster have strong differences in personality and mannerism. Rooster is a calm, laid-back person, comfortable with himself. Piddle-Pants on the other hand is a nervous insecure individual who has random explosions of anger and can’t sit still or keep his pipes from leaking. Rooster is inappropriately open with everyone in the worst possible way about his bisexuality, although Piddle-Pants feels it is necessary to hide his homosexuality and bladder problems from his parents. Oddly enough, among his friends, Piddle-Pants wears tight girls’ jeans over his Depends as if to advertise. Both treat their parents the complete opposite: Rooster treats his parents like regular people with kindness and welcome, and because Piddle-Pants is occupied with sneaking in his diapers, he regards his parents with an insulting temperament. Consequently, Piddle-Pants is not included in any of the family pictures hanging on the walls of his living room.
With the two so different and yet so much alike, it is excruciatingly difficult for one to choose which he or she would rather obliviously befriend. It all comes back to personally deciding what the better poison is: Rooster or Piddle-Pants?
