Through Rural Country

Through Rural Country

Countryside streams pass my window
a golden light hits my face
blinding my eyes from the world beyond
horses graze in fields nearby
filling their stomachs as day melts away
a lonely house sits on a hill
off in the distance everything is still
unpopulated, quiet, and sound
emerging from the rural road
the bumpiness subsides
onto a smooth paved road we go
out of rural country
to a bustling city
o how far we’ve come
for rural country is only
a day away

I enjoyed the scene you set here, very peaceful. I can see you waving goodbye to the country as you drive into the city. I like the contrast between these two made with the image of change in the road.

I think you want to change quite to quiet?
