Fiddler Player Play

Fiddler Player Play

A Poem by Michael G. Smith

Fiddle player

Dance and dance

Kick up your heals

With ants in your pants

Or bees that sting

While tapping your toes

Dancing your jig

And rosining your bow

Play us a melody

Gives us a tune

Bring us some sunshine

A doe-si-do underived a pale blue moon

Fiddle player play

Into the night

Just play and play

To harvest shadows fade around a fire’s low light
