Faith vs. Science

Faith vs. Science

A Poem by Michael G. Smith
"

There are hidden laws of nature and also spiritual laws that meet at some point but it takes work on our part to discover them.

"

Stargazer you can’t help yourself

Forever looking skyward

Yet, I gaze inward for I Am

A universe unto myself and

Outward I find the exact

Same theory in all man's found physics

Merely, on a scale a bit more grand

I try, I try... lol, thanks.
Stargazer you can’t help but look upward
But, I gaze inward for I am
A universe unto myself and
Outward I find the exact same physics
Merely on a scale a bit more grand

Looking outwards things are revealed in a dribble; looking inward and you see the whole ocean. Great write, Mike.

Totally agree Pryde, thanks.
beautiful thought provoking write. I find the stars both brilliant and terrifying. Loved the thought that we are universes unto ourselves.

Thanks TL, No man (or Woman) is an Island but is a universe unto themselves. My belief anyway, lol.
Very deep write, loved it.

Cool. I find your work so unique, and always different. I like that.
"But, I gaze inward for I am
A universe unto myself"
- I love those lines. To know oneself is perhaps a harder task than to study the universe! Interesting write that I enjoyed reading. Penny

Thanks, Penny.
'Outwardly, I find the exact same physics
merely on a scale more grand.'

Such an innate understanding of how everything works comes across in this poem, and those last two lines are superb in the way they focus on the synergy between pragmatism and gazing at the stars.

Thanks, Beccy.
Love that last stanza. Looking at the night sky, looking inward... always seeking that divine spark. Nicely done, Mike.

those lines --- put this read into perspective of things...and the others compliment your verse...but in the grand scheme of things...its the pinnacle of this work...just wanted to quote that line and I believe you wanted to use "A" versus "An"...or leave it as is...its your words...
