In a deep dark sea Behind blackened windows Lies shelves in mystical infatuations Where rare tomes must dwell away from modern day Among ancient particles of manuscript saturation
Mysteries here they have no end But, initiate in the middle of a murder; suicide Drama, gradually unfolds as volumes friend Forever reaching into mind
But, when romance grows placid or even thinks to die That’s when passion for adventure begins And the creator’s world comes to life
Swashbuckling across the places Of both space and time Islands are the pages Where all are meant to be But, the concern is for that something A hope, for enlightenment inside of thee
It’s a hand that simply chooses wise Either, mingled fantasy or truthful care A will to be cast away or thrills abound Is the self among folios rare
Become the one held captive Adrift in compelling song Following upon knowledge A walking traveler That soon, will begin to run
Books carry the sum total of mankinds knowledge .Or at least up to the mid 1990s and it is not just their content but a matter of the way they are layed out.A story by dickens is not just a memory of times gone by But also an entertaining informative volume of who we use to be and the inspiration of mankind to acheive greatness

The old bookstores carry that magical feeling within their walls. I always have an eerie feeling that somethings going to happen. :) Good or bad.
It's a great escape, all these adventures at our finger tips.
Great, passionate loves, or our darkest scariest fears.
Enjoyed this. :)
What a way to describe books, truly enjoyed reading

I remember reading fantasies as a child, such a wondrous world in the pages. It's another escape from the worn down reality of life But, sometimes it seems time questions when a second could be found to actually pick up and read it as I grow older. I miss reading wild adventurous journeys that put my heart in a curious and excited state to read more. I enjoyed this, it is very well written. Nicely done.

Although, I picked up a book today at a yard sale called grandma's wisdom from the kitchen. It seemed to have a lot of good wisdoms in it.

It's always nice to stumble upon something intriguing.
Well-thought, well-written, well done! I love the transition from long lines to short ones. I felt the urgency and intensity as the rhythm of the poem dramatically changes. Clap, clap, clap.

There is nothing like the friendship an old book offers... I can smell the old paper and feel the weight of a volume in my hands... well penned, M. G.
