Feeling the love of mother

Mother you are sun
Love is warmth

Days that pass
Your light my path

Essential to His plan
You are heaven's crossroads
The whole, of family's universe

This is interesting. Often the sun is supposed to be male and the moon, female, in our culture. It is the other way round in some other countries. But as your poem says it is nice to think of our mothers as being warm ...even 'Essential to His plan, You are heaven's crossroads, The whole, of family's universe.' Well written.

this is a really well written tribute...the lines are short and succinct...

and the repetition of the first stanza works well at the end, as bookends...enclosing the poem as Mother's love encloses us...

I lost mine both at a very young age. This experience of losing them has helped me gain more respect for all mothers and fathers especially since I've also raised four children. Thanks again.
