A Letter Unwritten

The lines stand blank

Untouched by mans hand

Thoughts succumb to the pen

In a hand that does not move

A movie plays in a head, of old memories

Reeled in by a fishing pole of strength

Snapped lines let it go free

Eyes stare at the blue lines on the white paper, 

Numbness hits the skull 

the once ready hand with the pen, sits it down

Walking away, as the sun hits the empty paper 

The letter to a lover never touched, Pain and pleasure never told

Secrets kept in a box, a wall surrounding it

The lines of the paper still stand,

Empty letters sit on a desk, pen with ink dries out

A letter was never written to a lover that never exsisted

this is totally hits home. its a little scary because i can relate to it so much. the line "pain and pleasure never told" alone with the ending line made me kind of think... "its better to have love and lost than to never have loved at all".
i think it is often easier to deal with it if you have actually experienced pleasure even if pain followed. curiousity of the unknown would be worse, being alone.
