The Rose Of Life

The Rose Of Life

A Poem by Misty Blue Eyes

The rose of life

raises its head

opening its heart

waving with smiles

The rose of life

never knows no hurt

only warmth

Gven to others

The rose of life

petals of perfume

close at the sight of shadows

The rose of life

lay on the bed

torn apart for others pleasure

The rose of life.....

cut from it's being

Thorns cut deep

Puncturing holes

into the lives

The rose of life

wilts and bends to the becoming fo death

Very nice, I love the metaphor. The whole poem is very impressive. Keep up the great work! I can't wait to read more of your work! This poem tells a lot about the pain that people get just being a life, sometimes it seems like people are paying for things they haven't done, like they're paying for it before it happens. Great job!

A rose is as gentle as a puppy. Squeeze it too tight and you'll choke it, hold it too loose and you'll drop it. In a rose's case if you squeeze it too tight you will get it's thorns for hurting it. Very nice and interesting. I like this poem a lot. -Kat.
