In her new bed

Forever resting

Never waking

Her pale face

Makeup applied

Hair smoothed

Eyes closed

 

The marks covered

No signs of beatings

She shall not suffer

 

A mothers blank face

Sat so still

Stares of hate

Tention gripping the room

 

The angels will take her

Free her from all

Play with her

On the clouds

 

Sweet angel

Of only 7

Please have no fear

Don't hide

you wont cry again

beautiful poem, even though it was very sad. i like the ending about being set free. its somewhat comforting.

Oh my gosh, so I had no idea what the poem was about, and I clicked on it and that photo pops up first and then I looked back up at the title and my heart broke. And then in the back, someone is clutching themselves, tissue in hand, uh it is just gut wrenching. I don’t know the story behind this, but it was filled with the honesty of that moment, but there was still that glimmer of hope.
