An angel she is to me

Found half dead

For without the one lonely light 

She would have been forgotten

Lost in this world

Torn and ruffled bloody feathers lay next to her

Blood dropping from where her wings once hung

Laying on coldness

For God has made her mortal

Dark red tears fall from her glazed eyes

A bloody sword next to her 

Shining the blood in the light

Wounds so deep

Walking down the dark street I'll take her

Heal her and teach of human ways i shall

An angel she is to me.....

The heavens have lost this game but i have gained 

All the riches a man could ever want or need

With an angel by my side

A very interesting tale. Angels are the great mysteries. The Bible made them powerful and with the ability to kill. The myths made them protectors and kind souls. A very strong story with a very good ending. A excellent poem.
