My Reflection no more

My Reflection no more

A Poem by Misty Blue Eyes

MY REFLECTION!
disappearing as I stand there
The mirror never moves
Slowly slipping
I am fading away
In a life lived
no longer needed
Wanted less and less
My values no longer yearned for
I am slipping away
like a ghost in a movie
slowly being spread apart by the wind
NOT YET! i cry out
i am not done here
Holding my hand out, reaching
never touching......
MY REFLECTION.....GONE

How often do we feel invisible? You just want to give people a shake...but they have no idea you are there...That's what it must be like at that first moment of death....you can see them...they can't see you....how sorrowful that must be...that's how this makes me feel...full of sorrow and sadness...watching your reflection fade away...watching your life fade away...you try to hang on...kicknig and screaming...but no one notices...then you are gone...This is great! Thank you...

This is sad. I've felt this way before. and I still sometimes. The pointlessness of one's existance. I wish you a brighter, more meanigful morning. Good poem, keep it up.

Nice work, well done.

This can be interpreted in many ways I think, but what I feel from this is the pleading to be appreciated and noticed for the things you do. To feel special and beautiful, and not just a nameless, worker, but a wife and mother, a lover and friend. Maybe I'm wrong.. but that is what I get. Thanks.

Beautiful, feeling invisible is something I understand - reaching out and wanting to see something real but not being able to find that something or someone. Love it...
