A Poem by Misty Blue Eyes

Short hair grows slowly
Long blonde bangs flow softly
Blue eyes so touching and free
Fingernails bitten off
Rugged and sharp
Smiles never found
Darkness follows

Thin stalky legs slither
A groan comes from her
pain is all she knows
dark circles enclose her eyes
Lines of white cover a mirror
rolled paper and shaky hands

One more line wont hurt
I'm done after that
up the nose it goes
That one more line that wont hurt
Then the children see

Mom's still the same
she'll never change
Children flee

this is even sadder when the children see. it can scar children a lot to be exposed to such a brutal reality at such a young age.
but i'm glad you wrote about it. the more awareness we have of this thing, maybe it will lessen the actually act. just a thought.

sad story. I was very lucky when I jumped all those lines. I've lost a few friends to them though.

Heart renching but a sad reality. There are those out there that need that to be "normal". It's a tough topic but you got it right!
