Yeah I'm that girl

i know im just a  molecule on the radar of the world,

barly a speck of dust in a room 

a mere glance from another on the street

Some ones last thought of the year

Yeah I'm that girl...

 

I'm just not worthy

Of any ones time

Of their effort

Who really thinks of me?

 

Why should any one really have me on their minds?

Hold their ear to the phone when i call?

Tell me that i am not forgotten

Send me mail in the mailbox, that doesn't exist

I am just a girl who gets hits by a car or bus

Where the people just keep walking or stop and stare

Yeah I'm that girl...

The one who never existed

the girl who people push aside on crowded streets

Who's family thinks shes a disapoinment...

Yeah I'm that girl....

this is a very good poem, and i know how you feel. sometimes its hard to think that we are very important in this world. but we are. yes we are just little molecules in a huge world, but everyone of those molecules makes a difference. the world would be a different place (and is everytime one dies) if one of those molecules were not here. we all play a big part in this life. everyone of us counts. don't get discouraged!!

Easy to feel invisible in this world. With age added to my life. I like being invisible. When I was young. I wanted attention. Today peace with family and quiet is wonderful. I could feel the disappointment in the words. In this new world. Few people open doors to friendship. Sometime we must open doors to friendship and try to be content with the world around us. A powerful poem. You made me think again. A excellent poem.
