Black Wings

Never had she seen such beauty 

He was perfect!

His bare tan skin

Each ab carved out one by one

His black wings in full plume!

Standing on the ledge ready for flight

He turns back, looking behind him

Smiling at her

He reaches out for her hand

She steps forward with a shaky body

Unsure of what shes seeing

She takes a few steps, accepting his hand

He picks her up into his arms

Long black hair flowing freely against his back

His black wings flutter

His eyes covered by a mist

Lifting up into the Night sky

Strong, sculpted arms holding onto her

She traces his jawline smiling at him

In love the both fell

Love has no boundries

It is blinded at best

Interesting story line with very clear descriptions.
I remember somewhere, some time, reading that love is not blind, it sees more, not less..I think it was Rabbi Julius Gordon. I'll have to check..The end of your write made me want to revisit that.

A interesting poem. A angel with black wings could cause trouble. I like the description and story. The world would more interesting if there were real angels to assist this world. I like the last lines. A excellent poem.
