Drum and Bass

She sits with a smirk on her face

Tappin' her pen on the table

Moving her head slightly

Headphones over her ears

Loud beats drum into her holes

Cars honk horns 

People on phones talk

She sits smiling to her self

Loving the beat as she sits

Sipping her hot apple spice

Waiters and waitress come with orders and take back empty plates

People chat, mouths move but she can't hear

Her volume is up as it echos out 

Pen to paper she writes

Smiling at a cute guy near by

looking away her music ends

She pays for her drink and leaves a tip

Another song starts

She gives the guy a nod good bye and walks out the door

The sun shines on her face, followed by buildings shadows

Nodding her head again to the beat and drums on her headphones 

The guy follows and taps her on the shoulder

Turning around 

She smiles and kisses him.

hand in hand they walk together down the long street of trees

Listening to and nodding their heads to the drums and bass....
