He's come homeA Poem by Misty Blue Eyes
She stands at her window looking out
The birds singing beside her closes her eyes at thoughts of him His rough, strong hands all over her body She has waited years for his return Holding the letter written in his hand covered with tears The day is bright and colorful Warm air dances around her moving her long flowing brown curly hair Whispers in her ear sweet nothings His voice lingers telling her he's close Her heart jumps at the thought of seeing him Her hands shaky at memories of his body on top of hers late hours of the night they spent together Early morning frolics in the garden beds A carriage appears! turning ever so slowly She runs down the long corridor of stairs his face would soon be in her hands She rushes to the door swinging it open Her heart is about to burst The carriage! It's empty with the living! She cries out her love has come home for all the wrong reasons......
