Music

Music

A Poem by Misty Blue Eyes

Head phones on
Nodding my head
Lost in time
The music pounds
Making the ears and mind listen
To the depths of the beat
My eyes close
Swaying my body
People stomping their feet
Flashing lights
Looking out over the crowd
Sweating bodies
pretty faces
bumping and grinding
Dj's yell
the crowd goes wild

I hear screaming and open my eyes
Only to be brought back
 seeing only my house
The rave is no longer there
my mind comes back to the ground
i take my head phones off
turn down the volume
smiling as i hop off to bed.......

It is amazing how music can take us away.. if only for a few minutes.

lol Awesome... That's the reason I love to have my headphones in and my music up... To ignore everyone/everything else around me... Sometimes people are just too much trouble to deal with. I love it. ^_^ I think every teenager feels this way lol.

I would also like to say that raves do not embody any type of music. They ruin the s**t out of music by repeating it.

My stupid f*****g friends that live in St. George are like ADDICTED to raving, which is insane considering Utah actually HAS a raving scene at all. They take bunk a*s ecstasy and always invite me to drive two hours just to "rave", in which I respond with a kind "f**k off, pirate".

You see: raves are almost completely worthless, and most can agree a waste of good money you could spend on better recreational drugs, or guns and fireworks, or condoms to pass the time. The emotion at raves at the time seems extremely awesome and genuine, but it is artificial. I have seen females waking up, smelling like sweat and shame, their eyeballs are no longer completely black like a f*****g vampire, start sobbing because of rufies that get stolen into the drinks. Artificial love is needless and stupid, and creates anxiety.

DON'T RAVE KIDS

The earphones was man's greatest invention. Can allow you to escape to another world without leaving your room. I like the way you set-up the poem. You gave me a surprise ending. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
