you are an angel i am not

you said you had to go

you could no longer stay

Tears slowly fell down 

not wanting to see you go

why cant i go with?

Your hand on my face

my heart is out of place

please stay 

don't go, what did i do? 

i ask but you say nothing 

as your white wings spread

away you turn 

i catch your hand

make you turn to me

why can't we be?

For you are an angel

and i am not

for to be a human 

it's marked a death sentence 

So away you turn 

telling me to be strong

raise your hands and wings

holding on to myself

i cry out 

as you soar off 

high into the sky

Never to come back.....

For you are an angel 

That is a death sentence 

So stand there and kill me

for i will never want to breath again

with out you i am dead

No matter the relationship, when someone we love leaves us here.. it is as if they take our breath. How we handle the loss is the challange some of still work daily to overcome.
