Good Morning

Good Morning

A Poem by Misty Blue Eyes

Sitting up on the bed
Looking out the window
Feeling its cold given off it
I rub my arms trying to get warm

Stepping out of nice warm, dark room
Yawning from a good nights sleep
I make my way to the kitchen
The coffee is on and the quiet of the dark, soothing house makes me smile

Cats eating their morning breakfast
Watching outside for what? who knows
The "clink and clack" of the keyboard puts a smile on my face
Oh how nice it feels to have piece of mind.

The little boy emerges from the dark bedroom,
Stands in front of me rubbing his sleepy eyes
Smiles and says "Good Morning"......

I literally dropped my chin.... I am picking up the pieces as I write. this-is-a-GOOD-morning, and I don't know what else to say. It certainly lived up to it's title and exceeded expectations. well written! :)
