Gone

Gone

A Poem by Misty Blue Eyes

The house stands silent, no words to speak
Tears filled eyes, sitting on your once nice sunny porch.
A pair of eyes close, holding the tears back for you have left.
Gone from this once great place, no more hellos or good byes
No more calls, to wake or to talk on a sunny day
silents lips fall onto cold skin, tears falling,
Its time to say good bye, but not forever,
for now you are with angels, so pure at heart.

miss you grandmother

All has already been said. This was a great piece of literary work! I like the use of eyes filled with tears and closing, this is so much more than a "goodbye" its more of an elevation to a higher status. Most likely a more deserving place to be. But nothing is forgotten. Great work!

Ah, Jack, has gone Misty Eyes and Blue... nice. Your Grandmother, is loving this time and a space chosin. To live with her once more. In her eternity.

For me this was an excellant short story, in a poetic form. The underlining
of a love for your Grandmother, a world of emotion in eight lines. That say so much more. The first sentence [ The house stands silent ] like the beginning of a novel, each line a seperate scene. The memories all contained [ No more calls, to wake or to talk on a sunny day ] with the following reaction, [ silents lips fall onto cold skin, tears falling ] and closing with the reveal. To bring it all to focus... well done with, your simple truth. "Love you Grandma," said with heart, as the little girl runs out her backdoor to play. Through another sunny day... remembered. At a house, not so silently still.
