Darkness

Warm deep red blood flows down my arm, 

Growing cold as it slithers further down

Sitting against the cold concrete wall 

No meaning to life anymore 

I take the knife, digging it deeper into my arm 

Trying to find the dreams, the goals, the love, the caring mess

In a darkness i have never felt before, not just in my mind. 

No its swallows me whole.

My heart in your hands now, beating slower and slower

I close my eyes letting loose a single lone tear.

Interesting, it could be more powerful. A little cliche with the imagery takes away from the impact but it is still a very nice piece. Maybe it could be expanded on more?

And don't take too much of this to heart, its your first piece and its a good one.
