The VanishedA Poem by Sean M. AddamsA ghost story with metaphors
I feel chills in the wind
Familiar presence but no ones there Mourn for the lost soul We are all living on a prayer Like an 80's song on repeat The chorus will start to Haunt A vision that is unexplained Cause old memories to taunt A cry for help never forgets For the one we couldn't save Sometimes they will come back Reappearing from the grave A face amongst the shadows Then it quickly fades A sad eerie mystery Where the emptiness prevades Away from my heart You become forever banished A mist under the moonlight Then you suddenly Vanished! © 2021 Sean M.
