The Vanished

The Vanished

A Poem by Sean M. Addams
"

A ghost story with metaphors

"
I feel chills in the wind
Familiar presence but no ones there
Mourn for the lost soul
We are all living on a prayer
Like an 80's song on repeat
The chorus will start to Haunt
A vision that is unexplained
Cause old memories to taunt
A cry for help never forgets
For the one we couldn't save
Sometimes they will come back
Reappearing from the grave
A face amongst the shadows
Then it quickly fades
A sad eerie mystery
Where the emptiness prevades
Away from my heart
You become forever banished
A mist under the moonlight
Then you suddenly Vanished!

Good, spooky poem. Shadows and mist are both particular manifestations of ghosts.
