Legend Of No Face CharlieA Poem by Sean M. Addamsread about him on weird u.s. so I created my version:) enjoyThis is not a fantasy or fairy tale with a big name star like Christian Bale This is not a kid theme show like i-Carly, it is the legend of No Face Charlie! In the year of 1919 is when the story begins Childhood accident left him severely burnt a deformity to his skin Empty sockets where his eyes once were made him feel less stellar Walking the dark roads at night with a cane like Helen Keller They say that the fatal accident also tinged his skin a sickly green The boy once known as Raymond would steal your face if you were mean Throughout the day he would hide only to appear at night A mystery people would follow to catch a glimpse of his sight Sometimes feeling like the invisible man or freak show of the week Walking alone through the tunnels of blackness feeling cold and bleak His legend grew through the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania winds Before his death he always hoped to find a close group to call his friends His dreams of life became nightmares as the misery would start much sooner Feeling like a Hollywood creature played by Lon Chaney Junior People were curious for a glimpse offering him cigarettes and beer Inside he only wanted to feel human instead of a Stephen King character of fear After his death in 1985 he became an urban tale of what he dreaded the most To live through anothers campfire horror story as a gooseflesh creepy ghost They call him Green Man wandering the streets haunting the midnight breeze Becoming a childrens boogeyman through dares they taunt and tease But this is not a fantasy or fairytale maybe you should take another look This is more deranged than the short stories and poems in an Edgar Allan Poe book Walk after dark and you might find the tunnel leading to his place Better close your eyes before he steals them the legend of Charlie No Face! © 2014 Sean M.
