uncaving walls

uncaving walls

A Poem by Sean Lawless

Tossed in a blender sent back to sender the letters return to the writer.
She had just moved because she was moved by another mans soul.
He lay awake just for the sake of reliving the past he had lost.
A picture of him goes in the bin with her thoughts she felt as well.
A bottle tips up spirits drain to his guts to drown his thoughts of her.
The night is a blur as he carresses her and gently relieves the pain.
The bar is so crowded, the lights are all shrowded over stingey broken drunks.
The tabs don't get paid the plans have been layed the way that its meant to be.
She wakes up the kid, he flips his lid because daddy cheated on mom.
So he sends her packing, now shes lacking her sugar daddy is gone.
She's left in the cold,
He's crying alone,
He's still on her mind,
She still has time.
Both to stubborn to cave.
