Beyond the arch of the Forlorn GardenA Poem by ArielA girl searches for the unattainable in this poem.Beyond the arch of the Forlorn Garden,
I catch a fleeting glance at eternity.
Stark white against the darkness you stood,
As beautiful and lost as a dove among crows.
I catch a fleeting glance at eternity,
As you disappear within the crowd.
As beautiful and lost as a dove among crows.
I cry for the above and you.
As you disappear within the crowd,
I race after you in a frenzy.
I cry for the above and you,
But time waits for no one.
I race after you in a frenzy,
Like predator against prey.
But time waits for no one,
So I fall behind and get lost in the crowd.
Like predator against prey,
Stark white against the darkness you stood,
So I fall behind and get lost in the crowd,
Beyond the arch of the Forlorn Garden.
