The Book Burning Fiesta

The Book Burning Fiesta

A Poem by Sean Augulewicz

Ashes float through the thick,
Smokey, gray, cool air
Smiles and cheers erupt
From the faces of men and children
But those pages are not
Lifeless, destroyed, and cold
These pages may burn
But the words are forever

Good write. It made me think of Fahrenheit 451. This type of writing makes one appreciate words.

Words and ideas. The only things that can't be destroyed. Corrupted maybe, but not destroyed. Good short write.
