Parasite

Parasite

A Poem by Geist
"

My life-long battle with depression....

"

I never thought you'd return
I could have sworn you were dead
And yet here you are now
You somehow got trapped in my head

Wasn't it enough
That you took away my youth?
Not satisfied, are you?
I guess I'll never know the truth

Do what what you will to me
F**k me up once again
But for every battle we have
Just know that I'LL win

Nice emphasis on the I'LL there. It shows power over the disease that's trying to take over your life. I love the way you worded this. And because I know you so well, it all sinks in much deeper in my head. Enough that I can feel the struggle and frustration.

I can empatihise with your feelings. I have been there and have the T shirt

You write positively and that is the essential .Express yourself in poetic prose which indicates you are in control of the black dog and not the other way arpund
