Tragic BeautyA Poem by GeistIt is so late here as I sit and stare out this window Darkness has fallen over this town You can hear the silence of one million lonely nights echo As I listen to them all I see her face so clearly in my thoughts Thoughts provoked by memories I've tried to forget I can not seem to let go of them no matter how hard I try She stays with me always Her smile Her scent Her beauty Her touch The warmth she would demonstrate for me The stars brightly shine tonight I am reminded of the beauty in this world The beauty of this girl who is now only a memory truly speaks to me Sometimes the most beautiful things we experience Are the experiences of the things we have lost © 2008 GeistFeatured Review
