Senseless Ambition

Senseless Ambition

A Poem by Geist

Breath by breath

Pulse by pulse

Wanting to exist

Everything lost

Ceasing to be

Increasingly gone

All that was

Ends with dawn

Never again

Always the same

Washed away

Cleansed by the rain

Tired and lost

Done with all this

I was destroyed

All by her kiss

I liked this...it was very simple and clear and the last stanza really left with a subtle but striking punch...informing us of the cause of all this anguish only in the last line. Well done.

I actually got chills reading this. Quite short, but also quite powerful. Excellent job on this one =D
