Tears Of Rain

Tears Of Rain

A Poem by Suzanne C. Suber

Tears of Rain

by Suzanne C. Suber

Raindrops falling on my windshield

As I think of you

A solitary tear drop escapes me

A symbol of love mixed with sadness

As the wiper erases the raindrops

I picture your hands as they caress

   away my sorrow

Yet, at this time you are

   far removed from me

So, as tears continue to fall

My heart feels the void while it yearns

   for your healing touch

A touch that may never be

I loved the yearning within your poem. The image of the raindrops wiped away so easily, but the tears having no recourse but to fall. What a gem.
