Not Easily Forgotten

by Suzanne C. Suber

You are not easily forgotten:

In a span of three days,

a few hours at the most,

you stole my heart.

Your look, your touch,

your voice, your kiss,

set you far apart.

The feeling light, it felt so right,

while your tenderness,

filled my heart.

We bespoke of love.

Precious plans, from the start,

became an arrow, through my heart.

We fit so well together.

Yet, another came into play.

A shadow from your past.

You gave in to fill her need.

You felt it was your due.

I was left without a plan, without you.

We were drawn to one-another.

Albeit hindered love,

so strong, though so far apart.

Our meeting planned in heaven,

transcended up above.

So high atop the stars.

Who would know,

that we would meet, once more,

given, yet, another try.

We picked it up right from the start,

This love twix you & I.

Please do not say goodbye.

Writing is my therapy, my heart reaching out. Love is the ink that runs through my veins and out my fingertips with pen in hand. It is so amazing; to have a thought, start writing, and be transport.. more..
