I Love You

I Love You

A Poem by Suzanne C. Suber

I Love You

by Suzanne C. Suber

A sound is heard from afar, soft, yet determined.

So much so, that it has captured my attention.

Though I am alone in the dark, I feel its caress.

As fingertips gently stroking the ivory keys on a piano,

dolce et pianissimo.

They come to me as words of such depth,

that they are felt within the private chambers of my heart.

For what had begun as a whisper upon your lips,

has now traveled and planted itself firmly within my soul:

“I… love…you…”

Writing is my therapy, my heart reaching out. Love is the ink that runs through my veins and out my fingertips with pen in hand. It is so amazing; to have a thought, start writing, and be transport.. more..
