![]() For the Wages of Sin, Death Has Been PaidA Poem by realmwriter
If one seeks death, inevitably, one finds him.
When one cheats death, rest assured death, will not cheat you. When one dances with death, death dances macabre, A twisted, languid grin ensconced about his countenance. Death does not forsake one, you cannot buy your time. Prime of youth will not deny him, death will take his tole. Sins can be forgiven, guilt can be unburdened, still payment, death is owed. Hide and death will find you. You will find though, that death, does not hide. Every crevice, crack or crux, Every corner death can touch. In every shade if blackened hue, death will come to reap his due. To turn away, one can't look back, one must walk the narrow track. Serene no sorrow, rest no strife, trust in him, whose death gave life.
