Too Far To See

Too Far To See

A Poem by realmwriter

Point A to Point B, far too short, too far to see.
Never ending black top from a concrete jungle long ago.
Countless miles covered from desert to ocean and everything in between.

Too many miles to remember them all, gone in the blink of an eye.
History uncovered, face to face, can't learn it from a picture in a book.
Up, close first hand, touch the earth, watch as the miles unfold in dreams.

Walked the road to see them all and soon will discover the pictures in the books.
Turn the page and walk another road. Another dream to unfold, hitchhiking in the cold.
Though I be weary, the Lord still guides me along, this long and dusty way.

Love the opening line.

Nothing can compare to living life, and experiencing things first hand. Reading, gaining knowledge, are necessary, but experience is transforming. Great piece.
