Detritus

Detritus

A Poem by realmwriter

Gripping tightly, overwhelming, pressure building to explode

Feathered lightly, underwhelming, releasing tension to implode

Mounting more to the hour, finding nervous to the wreck

Driving frantic to the quest, frozen timeless in its" place

Maddening now so the twitching, sitting still against the itching

Content to wait till the devour, nothing more for sane is power

Scratching at the surface still, breaking tension sheared by will

Drowning in detritus heap, slipped insanity amung the weak

Frozen now in places still, casting shadows against the night

Doubtless thomas could explain, promised pleasure for the pain

Naked is the wandering eye, exposed soul through cloth and lie

Sinful under salvations sign, preaching under dollars devine

Humanity to turn away, panick stricken ever closer

Running faster to the fray, soothing in its' harsh embrase

Timmid from years of scorn, now it's done over torn.

A poem that speeds up with intensity as it builds towards it's end. Nicely done.
