What Can I Give You

What Can I Give You

A Poem by realmwriter

What could I give you that you don't already have?

I could, give you the world but that's just not practical.

I would, give you the sun but that would just be sad.

I could, give you the moon but then it wouldn't light your face.

I would, give you the stars, but their all over the place.

So I'll catch a million fireflys so I can see them in your eyes.

And I'll swim to the bottom of the ocean, just to collect a grain of sand.

And I will, give you the beeches one handfull at a time.

I will, climb the tallest mountain to  catch a snowflake on my tongue.

And I will, give you the sweetest kisses to send shivers down your spine.

I will, run across the country to give you an apple from New York.

And I will fly all the way to Paris just to bring you France.

What can I give you, that you don't already have?

I could, give you the world but that's just not practical.

I would, give you the sun but that would just be sad.

I could, give you the moon but then it wouldn't light your face.

I would, give you the stars but their all over the place.

So I will, give you all of me. Every piece that I am.

I will, search the depths of my soul, just to change  myself for you.

And I will, wear all the colors of the rainbow, just so you can see me in the rain.

I will, bring you a broken arrow, because I can mend your heart.

And I will bring you a bottle of rain, because I can take away your pain.

I will, tell you all my secrets, because I can't hide from you.

And I will, hide away my pride when you are feeling blue.

There is nothing that I can give you that you don't already have.

You wear your world in a locket hanging round your neck.

The moon is bouncing of your face and the sun shines from your soul.

I see the stars twinkle in your eyes and I can feel the fireflys lighting up the dark.

So what could I give you that, that you don't already have?
I could, give you the world, but that's just not practical.

I would, give you the sun but that would just be sad.

I could, give you the moon but then it wouldn't light your face.

I would, give you the stars but their all over the place.

I will, turn the world upsidedown and set my soul on fire

And I will wipe away your tears and hold you when your afraid

I will bleed and die for you, because thats what you mean to me.

And I will, keep pushing you to be everything you are.

I will, believe in myself again, just as mush as you believe in me.

And I will, do all that I can to show you that I am always there.

If anyone else had tried to write this, they wouldn't have been able to do it without sounding majorly corny :) but you managed to pull it out quiet well :)
