Mourning Lamentations

Mourning Lamentations

A Poem by realmwriter

Did you feel the pain yesterday?
The rain has brought it down.

Did you see the love today?

I know there's some around.

Did you hear the screaming?

Because the streets are filled with echos of the silent.

Could you smell the fragrance of the flowers?

Or was it the decay of tomorrow?

Did you wonder where the joy went?

Because sadness seems to have killed it.

Have you forlornly looked past yesterday into today?

Because tomorrow may never come again.

Could you hear the whispers of the Innocent?

They talk of sins that cannot be undone.

Have you heard your father cry?

He mourns his only son.
