Shattered My Affection

 

Tear me open and take me down.

Take me down and put asunder the past.

Let lay where dead dogs lay the pieces of my heart.

Tear not apart that, which you love,

But shatter the pieces of your past.

 

  Leave those things that loose themselves,

Leave them to the corners of the wind.

Cast aside indifference

within to find in you control.
Cry for me and die for me.Do I the same for you.

  Pick me up, pull me down and punish me no more.

Look inside to see out of, the mirror shattered on the floor.

Shards of self, reflections of me, I see what brings your dreams.

Do unto me as I will do unto you for I will sweep away the shards.

Rearrange the pieces into whatever you want me to be.

  Scatter the call of the song that brought wind.
Blow far the pieces of the puzzle that brought the bird.
Sing the song to beckon the call of all the pieces of me.
I will rearrange you, you will rearrange me.
You will fall in love when I turn to walk away.

 
  Eviscerate the evening to commemorate the past.
Turn to see yesterday when you forgot where you put tomorrow.
Live for now in the here and remember that I am but a breath away.
Feel me when I call from the mirror to see my reflection no more.
Tear me out, tear me open, and exponentially explode.

 
  Tease me and love me, take me in your arms.
Gather me together in your heart and I will keep you warm in mine.
Know me like no other and take the time to care.
I will show you that I love you with all the pieces of my soul.
I will shower you with affection tenthousand times over whole.
