Shattered My AffectionA Poem by realmwriter
Tear me open and take me down. Take me down and put asunder the past. Let lay where dead dogs lay the pieces of my heart. Tear not apart that, which you love, But shatter the pieces of your past. Leave those things that loose themselves, Leave them to the corners of the wind. Cast aside indifference within to find in you control. Pick me up, pull me down and punish me no more. Look inside to see out of, the mirror shattered on the floor. Shards of self, reflections of me, I see what brings your dreams. Do unto me as I will do unto you for I will sweep away the shards. Rearrange the pieces into whatever you want me to be.
