Dig Persist DigA Poem by realmwriterI must persist, persist to DIG, DIG this incesant hole. I must get through, through this mountain, through this mountain to a labarinth. A labarinth of knowledge on the otherside of earth. So I DIG, on and on, ever forward do I DIG. No shovel have I, yet I, DIG, bloody my nubs, yet I DIG. Weary am I, yet I, DIG, cold to the core, but on I DIG. I must persist, persist to DIG, DIG this incesant hole. DIG through mud, through clay, DIG through dirt and sand and stone. Knowledge is power and ignorance bliss, thus I'm lost to DIG and persist. Persistance pays off, rewarded I'll be, so I DIG into the mountain, I DIG into me. DIG into my soul, DIG into my memories I've swept aside Hiding deep in plain sight, under my knose where I never look, I DIG. Laying there open I bury the book. DIG into my subconcious where I shy away. I wonder if DIGGING, will kill me someday. For all that I know I'm DIGGING in circles for lack of light penatrating my sight. I may not be seeing all that my soul has to bear, nor all that my subconcious hold there. But I still DIG. DIGGING in dark dreary conditions, my mind is as muddeled as the puddle above me I'm DIGGING through. So I'm DIGGING, bloody, cold, numb, blind, alone, with me to think about the thoughts I'll think when alas I finish DIGGING.. Even questions are raised, how will I feel about DIGGING? Will I crave the company of those who have also DUG? I don't want to DIG anymore, so I think I'll quit and go to sleep, just let me DIG and bleed and sleep. Yet still this urge to DIG persists. Now wide awake, Furious at the DIG. BLEEDING, DIGGING, DIGGING, DIGGING, COLD AND sleeping and digging! DIG PERSIST DIG, DIG PERSIST DIG, DIG PERSIST DIG, DIG DIG DIG!
