The Smile I ProtectedA Poem by realmwriter
I laugh everytime I see you smile.
Only a kiss can quell my chortle. Every time I see you laugh I crack a smile as wide as the great Montana sky. Everytime I see your smiles, your hahahs, and hehehes, I forget what I was going to say, its like bubbles in my brain. Everytime I read your words and all the little things you say, I forget that I had a bad day. I love to see that part of you your not protecting. Because everytime from corner to corner, your smile is infecting. Your smile spreads like a warm blanket on the bed, in my head and nesting. But I've never seen a protected smile, the fake ones I've seen them all and read right through their besting. But if you give me one more of yours, I will be infected, with the smile from you that I protected. I laugh everytime I see your smiles because I know they are seen for miles Everytime I see you smile, my mind goes as blank as black. Everytime I see you laugh, I have to remember what I was doing. Everytime I read your words and all the little things you say, I feel like a kid again on a warm summer day. So I will give you a smile and you me one of yours. You put mine in your heart, where you will be infected, but deep down where love is kept, yours will be protected. © 2011 realmwriterAuthor's Note
