An angry sea set out one day to see what the world had to offer. So the sea hopped a charter across the ocean to see what was across the pond. There the sea found a lake as placid as a monk on a day of gentle breezes. The angry sea asked the placid lake how it came to be so calm, the placid lake replied "I have always been this way my tempid friend." The angry sea could not make any sense of this and went to the furthest corners of all the lands, in search of an answer to this quandry. A Buddhist monk replied when asked in much the same way that the placid lake replied, "it has been so for as long as I can remember my embroiled brother.", was the monks only reply. The angry sea became so enraged at his own misunderstanding that frothed and fumed, and crashed waves and blustered wind and bandied ships about in their holds. How can I become calm and placid he demanded of the gloriously quiet, resting sky, the resting sky replied "you must look within yourself, my embittered, heaving friend." The angry sea could not see what it was in itself that held the key to calm, so it returned to the placid lake and there the angry sea simply sat and watched. The angry sea began to notice that eaven when the heaviest winds struck a frightening cord across its waters, the placid lake shook it off and hardly budged. After searching all the corners of all the lands, for clues to calm, the angry sea went back across the great pond and weary from its travels fell off for a long over due rest. When next the sun rose to greet the sea, the sea noticed it wasn't angry anymore and realized that it had sean a great many things in search of calm when all it needed was a long nap and someone to talk to, for when the sun came up to find the sea, it found the placid lake next to the sea as the Buddhist monk sang to the gloriously quiet, resting sky. The monk, the sea, the lake and the sky, all became the best of friends and had many, long conversations from then on. THE END
