Seek Serenity's Season

Sway in here and believe in now.

This the time to find life somehow.

Seek to change, to learn, to grow.

Become that which you first did not know.

Let the flow take you where it will.

Let the peace be inside you still.

Here in this, this time of today

In now find lost in the frenetic fray.

 

Play.

Be.

Know.

 

Seek.

Find.

Grow.

 

Amuse this time and pass this way.

Vibrate to the wavelengths lost in the sky.

We ore now are lost to nigh.

Find the stars and see the clouds.

Listen to their voice, growing as loud.

Calm in the ocean, beneath the shroud.

Hidden here, where it was left to be found.

Your eternity in the silence of sound.

 

Play.

Be.

Know.

 

Seek.

Find.

Grow.

 

Screaming in visceral effigies of serenity.

Astound all your senses.

Tune in to a wave.

Feel the rhythm in self it can save.

Pulsating in the pleasure of passion and peace.

Finding in you, where turmoil will cease.

Stand at the edge of space and reason.

Commit nothing of self, seek serenity's season.

This feels like a meditation affirmation. I like the way you laid it out.
two things -- this might be a metre thing, but I would take out the of "become that"
and the last serenities should be serenity's I believe, since it seems to be possessive.

love the message in this one Derick.. I have read it several times now, and notice little things each time I reread.. you have sprinkled alliteration among pleasant rhymes, playful rhythm and deep meaning..

hands down favorite lines..

"pulsating in the pleasure of passion and peace/ finding in you, where turmoil will cease."...

curious as to why you worded it as seek serenities season and not serenity's season...

Which I could put that piece in here or one of his pieces. But the issue who enquire about is simply a typo. But I kind of like it.
