Fragile As We Fall

Fragile As We Fall

A Poem by realmwriter

Oh ring hollow the voices in my head, as nacrotic as the marrow of the dead

Oh the screaming of the days, the wretched echo of souls lost to wicked ways

Play out the nightmare of the dance macabre, the pools of desire among the fog

Seeking to be that which is not, what cannot become of that which is caught

Oh be silent the past, the future that scoffs of mistakes made on broken backs

Oh be still my pricking tongue, my cast of vanity blinded by those among

We are those that pay the price that can't be payed by war, we whose blood is shed

We are that which fear controls in weekness of our spine, our condition in the mind

Oh how hollow these brittle bones, the wretched shards of cold and blackend stone

Oh how we, we the kings, the kings of worlds unknown silent, chilling rings

Echo our past, shade our future, tainted the blood of man by slight of quickend hand

Hear us our plea, our reckoning come to call, we are but man, fragile as we fall.

Great, I got the unanswered question, well exposed out here ;) it's weird, on a same day, the same subject seems to collide. Indeed, fragile as we fall, but oh so strong ;) You just are amazing friend, the way how you psychologically dig here in the human skull. You give us a glimpse of how easy life and death are connected. Chapeau, that's what writing is all about, (and a poet like you who feels it literally to his bones).
