Upon the Vallies Fall the Rain

Upon the Vallies Fall the Rain

A Poem by realmwriter

Upon the mountain, lay the snow

In the prairies, wheat, as tall as man

Upon the vallies, fall the rain

Rivers swell, Oceans flood

War brings peace

But first spills blood

Poverty cries woe

In every corner of the world

The broken amid his foe

Heart strings pulled, wrenched and tugged

Weaping childrens tear stained faces

Careless senses propped and shrugged

One crooked finger points in shame

A truth the tempter wants not to know

Three curl back to place the blame

Build the bridges on the backs of the broken

Work them their fingers to the bone

Please except this coin a meager token

Stand atop your mighty hill

King of the mountain beeting your chest

You've won the battle, what a thrill

Behold a sheap stands at the door

Bleating of the wolf in the wood

Be careful what the teeth are for

Sharp of tongue the blankets spread

A gesture to shut out the cold

Burning the boddies among the dead

Be careful the sceems vailed in trust

Nothing is as it would appear

Make your deals, shake hands if you must

Upon the mountain, lay the snow

In the prairies, wheat, as tall as man

Upon the vallies, fall the rain
