Worry Between the Lines

 I'm up and I'm down

My emotions are all around.

I can't make heads or tails

of the nails that come in under my skin.

Too much to crease my brows about.

My brain is on fire with a desire to feel

but still I'm up at arms.

With furrowed brow I strain to empty my soul

and just let go of what I cannot consoIe.

 

 I stand in the way of my own success

And I don't know how to make it unless

I can figure this out.

I've got to let go of the doubt.

But I can't let go of what I don't have hold of.

Need to let go of the past, all of that stuff.

So on and on it goes untill I crash and no one knows

were I'll come down.

Still I wear this frown like a head ache needling my brain.

Untill the day the vines reach out and pull me under dirt

I'll be in limbo wringing my hands at the worry between the lines.

You cannot possibly understand how much I can relate to this line. Always finding things to stress and worry about. I love this.

I doubt that this is how you meant it, but I understood as you're trying to find yourself, in a way? I'm not sure, I don't do very well with interpreting the deep and meaningful thoughts of others.

What I really like about this piece, though, is that it's simple enought to be able to understand the main idea of, yet it makes you think. I like that. I like that a lot.

I can relate. When I was in college, writing became increasingly difficult as I too could never find the time and I never wanted to write about any of the given topics I was supposed to write about. You'll find time...! Keep yer chin up and yer pen your pencil on the paper or your fingers poised over the keys...! :)
