Ice Cubes

Ice Cubes

A Poem by realmwriter

Fall leaden from the sky and still I hear her voice.
Still I hear her cry.
Hold the tears, don't let them fall
Because inside, one by one, they choke us all.
I count the days till I see her face and still
I hear her cry.
Moaning in agony, I feel my tears fall like ice cubes
shattering in my mind.

As sharp as any dagger

As painful as any wound.

I see her face and count by grace the missing of the dew.

But lest I prick my eye with more tears

frozen in my veins, let me please

forget to cry.

Hiding from the winter cold wear pain of regret

freezes, like ice cubes in my veins.

when we know our tears create even more pain..it makes it hard to show how we feel...so we freeze up and "burn up" by holding it all in....scarred on the inside.

ache..I'm sorry. I can only..but don't want to imagine your grief.
Now when I read it again, my friend it shows me even more beauty in it...

The loss is terrible, and I can feel your pain.
Those ice cubes in your veins show that perfectly,
how you can feel.... very intriguing, and captivating
