Into the forest

Just letting my thoughts run free

Sometimes I wonder�"
what if I walked into the woods
and never came back?

Would the world whisper my name,
or let silence swallow it whole?
Would anyone trace my footsteps
through the damp earth,
the tangled brush,
the fading light?

My family would weep, of course.
They are the anchor,
the only weight
that keeps me from slipping
into the quiet dark�"
the last fraying thread
tethering me to hope,
to love.

But this is not about them.

So I ask again,
with the wind howling low between us:
Would you come looking for me?

Hello German Perez!! I like poems that make me think and this one is no exception. Would I Perez go and find you? Would I almost like a dare to my character. I TOTALLY WOULD LOOK FOR YOU!! Especially because your so well loved from your family meaning your probably well known from the people around them. But even if no one was an attachment here for you I would still look for you. That's just me. The underdog always wins in my book.
