On My Way Home

On My Way Home

A Poem by screamin'ian
"

If I haven't learned anything about strays and sentimentality by now, please, shoot me in the head!

"
On my way home
Comin' 'round
That ninety degree curve
Kitten in the road
Wet eyes, sickly
Obviously confused
Thought instantly
Quickly to swerve
Thought
Of the vehicle to come
Of it squashed innards out
Of stopping to aid
Of my own needs

Poor kitten
You're on your own
