Mock My Words...

Mock My Words...

A Poem by screamin'ian
"

A strong opinion

"
The jews wrote a treatise on belief

and cornered the market

on black magic

They stole

from the Egyptians

///////////

i have drawn a self-help map to the stars homes

///////////

They would have you believe

Have faith in, in fact

Monotheism

was their own

Contention

///////////

My faith Lies in the rising sun

///////////

The hidden formulas

amidst lineage tales

and dietary restrictions

give form to force

///////////

If i want to see it rain i wash my car

///////////

Like every great man

The best ever yet

fell short

of his greatness

Fell off his graces

///////////

i've always had the best of intentions

///////////

Christ himself traveled

the Eastern routes

to learn that

Miracle

Is the snake oil of the masses?

///////////

I see you, Human Beings; Stop, Right There!

"Like every great man

The best ever yet

fell short

of his greatness

Fell off his graces"

I loved this lines. It kind of reminds me of what my friend's dad always says to her: "You think you're not brilliant, but you are. You're just too lazy, too lazy to shine in the full greatness that you could. You melt into the masses. You don't really care.
Great write.

The lines struck me down to a level of understanding. The same lines that Little Birdie found likable, I do too. They remind me of someone who said that the world is only dark in the eyes of the depressed but they have to be willing to see that in reality, it is brighter than they imagined. This was really well written.
